Ymateb gan Ron Murray | Evidence from Ron Murray

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

Everything is tainted by your use of gender rather than sex.

Your acceptance of gender ideology means any bill trying to increase opportunities for women will be skewed by your belief that any man can be a woman just on their own say so.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

everything is tainted by Welsh Government's acceptance of gender ideology and that anyone can declare themselves a woman. Do lists by sex and objective reality not personal identity if you really want to help women.

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

The definition of what is a woman.

It has to be based on sex and not gender otherwise the bill is useless and meaningless.

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes - Women's inequality will be hidden by counting transwomen as women.

You can't believe anything if gender replaces sex.

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

Meaningless if your current stated views on gender are continued.

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

The bill uses gender and is therefore fatally flawed.

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

No. The Senedd puts itself into disrepute if it adopts gender rather than sex. Gender is a faith based concept rather than a objective reality and policy should be based on facts. This country has not signed up to gender ideology.

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

Everyhting is tainted if you use gender rather than sex.

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

The acceptance of gender ideology by Welsh Government is not something that people have agreed to or should be imposed on them.

Anything else?

Policy should be based on facts and reality not ideology.
